SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AND SALES AGREEMENT WITH AccuWeather, Inc.
100+ Affiliates On Board Including WINS/New York, KFWB-AM/Los Angeles, KDKA/Pittsburgh
New York, NY – April 2, 2009 -- United Stations Radio Networks, Inc. (“USRN”), an independent leader in the creation and marketing of network radio programming, today announced a partnership with AccuWeather, Inc., the world's leading and best-known weather media firm. The multi-year partnership agreement calls for United Stations to serve as AccuWeather’s affiliate relations and advertising sales arm throughout the domestic U.S. This announcement comes jointly from USRN’s President/COO Jim Higgins and AccuWeather’s COO and long-time radio personality, Evan Myers.
Based in State College, PA, AccuWeather has been supplying radio stations with accurate and reliable weather broadcasts since 1971. In addition to providing trusted content from a highly-respected team of meteorologists, AccuWeather’s success in radio has resulted from their ability to localize and customize their daily broadcasts. Regardless of a radio station’s format, the AccuWeather team can deliver reports and weather-related tools that enhance the station’s ability to serve local listeners, national advertisers and local businesses.
