Previously Independent Program Has Grown During Partnership with United Stations New York, NY – October 15, 2008 -- United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., (USRN) an independent leader in the creation and marketing of network radio programming, is pleased to be joining Jeff Parets, the creator, producer and host of THE ACOUSTIC STORM, in commemorating that show’s 10th Anniversary on the air. The program will celebrate its milestone broadcast with a thematic show featuring songs with titles and lyrics related to storms, including live, acoustic versions of Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road," the Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and James Taylor's "Fire and Rain." Word of the anniversary and the special edition program came from United Stations EVP/Programming, Andy Denemark at the company's Headquarters in New York City. Today, the show is available nationally as a three-hour weekend program with an optional two-hour version available) during which host/producer Parets presents the full spectrum of acoustic rock with an emphasis on acoustic guitar-driven songs. Each week, the show also spotlights an artist in its “Eye of The Storm” segment featuring music, bio information and audio clips. On the 10th anniversary edition of the show, being aired on October 25-26, 2008, Bob Dylan will be in that spotlighted segment. The Acoustic Storm is just one of the offerings for the rock format from United Stations, and the network’s lineup includes Nights with Alice Cooper, Racing Rocks!, The Classics, The House of Hair and Morning Prep from The Pulse of Radio.
