UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORKS ADDS THE DAILY HOUSE OF HAIR CUT

HOH CUTS

Host Dee Snider Provides Spinoff from Successful Weekend Program

Short-Form Weekday Feature Hit the Airwaves This Week

New York, NY -- February 2, 2007 -- United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., an independent leader in original network radio programming, today announced it has added the short-form, music-based feature, THE DAILY HOUSE OF HAIR CUT™ with Dee Snider to its roster of nationally distributed weekday programming. The Daily House of Hair Cut marks the first expansion of the successful House of Hair™ brand since joining the network’s lineup in 2001. United Stations EVP/Programming Andy Denemark made this announcement today from the network’s New York City Headquarters.

THE DAILY HOUSE OF HAIR CUT™ with Dee Snider
is a daily, Monday through Friday feature that will include news, updates, interview clips and music from the stars of the 80’s Rock/Metal genre. The feature will be available to affiliates on a market exclusive basis via digital download, and the length of each Daily “Cut” will vary based on the length of the song included in the piece. The new daily feature comes to United Stations as part of a newly expanded agreement with Bernadette Productions and Executive Producer of The House of Hair, Pam Edwards.

Host Dee Snider first became an important fixture on the heavy metal rock scene in the 80’s. As a founding member of the band Twisted Sister, he shaped the group’s original concept of providing an antidote to the disco music embracing airwaves at the time. Twisted Sister was signed to Atlantic Records where they became a multi-platinum award winning heavy metal rock group. The band is known for its popular hit-single, “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” In 1987, the original lineup of Twisted Sister disbanded, and Snider tours currently with a re-formed group. Over the years he has used his talents to expand his resume to include screenwriting as well as acting. Snider has also been the host of the 2-hr weekend edition of The House of Hair since 1997, and that program now airs on nearly 200 stations in North America.

When asked about the expansion of the House of Hair programming, Dee Snider said, “In my never-ending quest to bring old school, metal music to the masses, The Daily House of Hair Cut gives me the opportunity to reach all my loyal headbanger fans every day - not just on the weekends. And it's a great opportunity for me to turn non-listeners onto the show, too. As I always say, "If it ain't metal...IT'S CRAP!!"

Executive Producer and creator of the series, Pam Edwards added, "As we enter our 10th year in syndication, The Daily House of Hair Cut is the perfect brand extension of The House of Hair. The daily vignette format gives us the opportunity to provide current news on hard rock's favorite artists and not just treat the music like a retro thing. Plus, we love working with United Stations and are excited about this new venture!"

Also commenting on the new Daily Features, USRN’s Denemark pointed out "Dee Snider and The House of Hair have become one of the great success stories in Rock Radio, and we’re thrilled that we can expand on the franchise with these new daily pieces, especially because our affiliates all expressed strong interest in this expansion.”
