BROADCAST ARCHITECTURE® TO LAUNCH NEW RADIO FORMAT | |
New York, NY
On March 29, 2010 Broadcast Architecture® introduces a refreshing new radio format where diverse elements unite, creating an exciting new atmosphere to chill out, FEEL GOOD... or to simply “BE.” The BRIGHT RADIO NETWORK™ brings a cool, rejuvenating place to hang, day and night. It’s where the listener finds a new blend of music that reflects their lifestyle; their song choices magically FOUND in ONE place, on ONE station. We’ve searched out hit songs that you might hear on several radio formats including rhythmic AC, CHR, AAA, AC, UAC and we’ll even throw in a few instrumental tunes. The BRIGHT RADIO NETWORK™ isn’t driven by a specific genre, or even era of music. As we know through ratings data, typical radio consumers tune in to many more than 2 or 3 radio stations. This NEW format will focus on MUSIC THAT FEELS GOOD™ from artists like Sade, Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, Jason Mraz, Earth Wind & Fire, Norah Jones, George Benson, John Mayer, Phil Collins, Beyonce, Maroon 5, Seal, Colbie Callait, Kenny G, Kool & The Gang, and Corinne Bailey Rae. We’ll be the place to go to chill out, de-stress, and FEEL GOOD.
Broadcast Architecture® Owner / President, Allen Kepler, shares: “Our new format offers something new and fresh in both variety and feel. Everyone needs a “FEEL GOOD” station on their radio, a bright place to regain their zone and help them escape from the stress of the day, relax, chill out and FEEL GOOD. Like smooth jazz did for a generation of listeners over the last 20 years, the BRIGHT RADIO NETWORK™ targets today’s adults who need a break from rap, hip-hop and edgy rock music. The variety of music we’re offering takes a mass-appeal approach to a format that is unique, yet features some of the most mainstream, sophisticated music recorded over the past 35 years.”
The BRIGHT RADIO NETWORK™ targets both women and men age 35 to 44 who are looking for a place to chill out and want a ‘feel good spot’ on the radio dial.
The music blend features true variety featuring popular music of today from artists such as Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jason Mraz, Mariah Carey, Colbie Callait and Norah Jones; along with timeless music from Sade, Michael Jackson, Maroon 5, Seal, Michael McDonald, Beyonce, Marvin Gaye, Kenny G and Earth Wind & Fire. The new network is a 24/7 format delivered via satellite or downloaded via FTP.
The network benefit positioning phrases will focus on messages like: “Chill out and relax,” “Brighten your day,” and “Music That Feels Good.” Local stations will have the opportunity to brand and name the station as they wish, or use ours.
Given ratings data and through our research, we now know that radio listeners aren’t focused on one style of music. The fact is that they listen to several radio stations featuring different genres of music, every day. The BRIGHT RADIO NETWORK™ is not artist, era or genre based. The music will be smooth and uplifting.
