UNITED STATIONS RENEWS DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH CROOK & CHASE

Multi-year Agreement in Place for Countdown, Updates and Holiday Specials

Country Countdown Heard in 200+ Markets

New York, NY - February 4, 2005 - The United Stations Radio Networks, inc., (USRN) announced today that it has extended its agreement with co-hosts Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase as well as Jim Owens Radio to continue to distribute all Crook & Chase branded network radio programming. The multi-year renewal covers the weekly Crook & Chase Countdown, the weekday features known as Crook & Chase Updates and various seasonal and holiday specials. United Stations will continue to handle all network responsibilities for the programming including overseeing affiliate marketing, distribution and advertising sales. United Stations EVP/Programming Andy Denemark made this announcement today from the company’s New York headquarters.

On their most widely heard program, the weekend Crook & Chase Countdown, the duo present a unique mix of Country’s biggest hits and celebrity interviews. The Countdown reaches listeners in over 200 markets, and, along with their widespread television presence, has helped earned Lorianne and Charlie the unofficial title as Country music’s best-loved broadcast team.

Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase have worked together since 1983, and as a team, they are recognized and respected for their unique blend of personal, insightful interviews with the major stars of Country music. Launched in 1989, the weekly, four-hour Countdown show has built a loyal audience with its music-intensive and celebrity-driven format. Crook & Chase also gained widespread fame when they teamed up for sixteen years with TNN to host “Crook & Chase”, an entertainment news series on television. Since teaming up, Crook and Chase have been involved in the production of television and radio programs on a continuous basis, making them one of the longest running broadcast duos in the business.

In addition to co-hosting their weekly Countdown show, Crook & Chase also host four seasonal Holiday Specials annually which air on Memorial Day, July 4 th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. The team also host daily, one-minute news reports covering activity in the Country Music format. Those features, known as Crook & Chase Updates, are provided once a day on a Monday through Friday basis and include newsmaker interviews as well.

All Crook and Chase programming is produced in the Nashville-based headquarters of Jim Owens Entertainment. The Jim Owens Radio division maintains studios, interview archives and a full radio writing and production team dedicated to the creation of all weekly, daily and seasonal Crook & Chase programming. Jennifer Anderson is the Head Writer and Producer at Jim Owens Radio and Bennie Shipley is Chief Engineer.

United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., is the nation’s largest independently owned and operated radio network. In addition to The Crook & Chase Countdown, Updates and Holiday Specials, United Stations Country programming lineup includes daily prep from The Launch Radio Networks as well as the fully-produced programs The Road, Thunder Road, The American Christian Music Review (ACMR), Country Giants, and the seasonal Heroes & Winners Specials. The company services programming to over 4000 rated radio stations across the country. The New York based company was founded in 1994 by radio pioneers Dick Clark and Nick Verbitsky.
