Live Country Music Show to Air a Dozen Live Tracks Nationwide
On The Weekend Prior to April 29th Live CD and DVD Release
New York, NY – April 24, 2008 -- United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., (USRN), an independent leader in the creation and marketing of network radio programming, announced today that its two-hour weekly live music series, The Road, will provide radio listeners coast to coast with a preview of the music to be released April 29th on a bonus concert DVD by award-winning Country artist, Martina McBride. The package, titled Martina McBride: Live in Concert, features an eight-song live concert CD and a full, bonus concert DVD filmed in Moline, IL last September. Through a special arrangement with Bruce Allen Management, United Stations is able to provide its affiliate of The Road with a preview of the DVD concert recordings on the weekend prior to the CD and DVD release. Affiliates around the U.S. will have that concert material as part of this weekend’s broadcast of The Road airing April 25-27.
The Road is a two-hour weekly live music series featuring original concert material by today’s leading Country artists recorded coast to coast by a team of talent acquisition executives and recording engineers working for United Stations. The Road, hosted by Dallas air personality Smokey Rivers from KPLX (99.5 The Wolf), is now in its fifteenth year on the air, and is broadcast on nearly 150 affiliates across the U.S.
Martina McBride is among the most successful, most honored and most respected vocalists in America. Her angelic voice and dynamic stage presence have made her a Grammy winner, a four-time recipient of the CMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year honors, a three-time winner of the ACM’s Top Female Vocalist prize and she’s been named one of Pollstar’s Top Female Touring Acts across all genres. With the release of the new Martina McBride: Live in Concert, this is the first time that fans have been able to own live versions of some of her most popular songs including “Happy Girl,” “This One’s For The Girls,” “Anyway” and “Independence Day,” among others. Those songs and eight others are included in this week’s broadcast of The Road.
